Keele University has been recognised as the “University of the Year for Student Experience” in The Times and The Sunday Times’ annual awards 2017.
It is the latest in a long line of accolades received by the university, which has also been ranked first nationally for Student Satisfaction every year since 2014 in the National Student Survey.
“One of the most beautiful campuses in the UK provides an inviting backdrop, but it is the efforts that the university has gone to in providing an outstanding student experience that this award recognises.”
– Alistair McCall, Editor of The Sunday Times’ Good University Guide
One of the UK’s fastest growing universities
Keele University accepted 17.6% more new students in September 2016 than the year before (UCAS). In total, 2,670 new students were accepted on to courses – 400 more students than the year previously.
This suggests that it is a leading beneficiary of the government’s decision to scrap controls on student numbers, allowing universities to compete for as many undergraduates as they want.
On top of this, Stoke’s £282 million University Quarter – which opened this year – is at the centre of plans to increase student numbers in the city by 17,000 over the next decade.
More Purpose Built Student Accommodation will be needed to meet the needs of this ever growing population. Given this, we expect our Q Studios Student Property to experience 100% occupancy levels from day one of operations.
