Brazil, a mix of business and pleasure
With its famous beaches and vibrant nightlife, Brazil has for so long attracted the kind of property buyers who were buying the property for use as a holiday home. With the recent gains that the Brazilian economy has seen however, along with other positives such as the World Cup and the Olympics in 2014 and 2016 respectively, Brazil is now interesting the kind of investor that is more interested in seeing a return on investment than spending some time in the sun.
It does not take a business mogul to see the stimulus that two hugely popular international sporting events within 2 years of each other can have on the economy. This, coupled with the facts that Brazilians can now get mortgages and that the population in general are becoming wealthier, make for an excellent opportunity to take advantage of a market that is sure to see significant gains in the years to come.
In addition, the Brazilian government is putting more effort into attracting foreign investors to the country. A further plus to foreign investors is that Brazil is enhancing the legal security within the real estate sector.
With government commitment to attract foreign investment, a booming economy and additional factors such as hosting the World Cup and Olympic games, Brazil is becoming a very attractive proposition not only for sun and fun seekers but also for serious investors.
